Activity 3 (4/3): JOY

It is a crazy time right now, and it's just not the same not seeing your faces in person.  Being able to connect with you and your families throughout this first week has been amazing though.  I'm so lucky to be your ELD teacher.

Your 3rd activity this week is all about joy, happiness, and excitement.  Of course, there is some cause and effect involved too!

I want to know one thing that has caused or brought you joy this week.  The effect will your joy, happiness, or excitement.

Here is my video example!  I cannot wait to see yours.

Enjoy your weekends friends.

Activity 2 (4/2): Write About Yourself

Hello!  Your second activity for the week is an opportunity for you to teach Ms. Espinosa something she might not know about you!  I also want you to tell me 2 things you enjoy doing and why.

Here is a video example for my kindergarten and first grade friends!

If you are in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade, there is an example of my writing at the bottom of your paragraph frame.  Use it to help you in your writing.

I cannot wait to learn something new about each of you!

Activity 1 (4/1): Adjectives All Around

Hey friends! You're first ELD activity is posted on Seesaw!

Your job is to take a photo of something or someone in your house, backyard, or neighborhood.  Using adjectives, you'll describe your noun (person, place, thing, or animal).

Remember, an adjective is a describing word.  Colors, numbers, size, shape, smell, sound, taste, and feel are all good ways to describe a noun.

Here is an example if you need an idea.  Please let me know if you need help.  I can't wait to see what you share.

Welcome!

Hello ELD families!

I'm excited to be connecting with you all!  It is an interesting time we find ourselves in, and I will do my best to support our ELD students during this time.

Our ELD assignments will be posted on platforms students have used many times throughout ELD this year and in years past including Google Classroom and Seesaw.  Both sites are linked on the right hand side (--->).

Each student will need an access code in order to log onto Seesaw.  I will email out students' individual login codes.  If you have more than one Tiger in ELD, they will each need their personal code to access their ELD materials.  I will also email codes to 3rd and 4th grade students.

I am here to support you and your students during this transition time.  I am regularly checking my email (esp021843@adams12.org). Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, etc.
